Vokální soubor Gentlemen Singers je českým mužským profesionálním oktetem, vítězem mezinárodních soutěží a pravidelným účastníkem významných festivalů od USA až po Jižní Koreu. Krom toho, že soubor od svého vzniku v roce 2003 absolvoval téměř tisícovku koncertů po celém světě a vydal sedm kritikou velmi kladně ohodnocených samostatných nahrávek, každoročně v červnu pořádá ve svém domovském městě festival Sborové slavnosti • Czech Choir Festival • Hradec Králové, jehož hlavním cílem je propagace české sborové hudby v České republice a prostřednictvím pozvaných špičkových sborů z celé Evropy i v zahraničí.
Repertoárový rozsah Gentlemen Singers je velmi široký. Soubor je kritikou ceněný především
pro svou špičkovou interpretaci klasické hudby 20. a 21. století: "...krása, dynamická kontrola a hlasová rezonance českých Gentlemen Singers byla dokonce lepší než u King's Singers" (9. 5. 2012, Irish Examiner). Nedílnou součást repertoáru tvoří též skladby zkomponované či upravené přímo pro Gentlemen Singers členy souboru a skladateli, s nimiž soubor úzce spolupracuje (Jan Vičar, Jan Jirásek, Petr Wajsar, Stephen Hatfield aj.), ale i klasická díla staré hudby. "Když už jsme si mysleli, že víme o sborovém zpěvu všechno (nebo téměř všechno), přišly tyto slovanské hlasy a daly nám lekci z jiného světa interpretace sakrální hudby s příchutí gregoriánského chorálu." (9. 4. 2017, El Diario Vasco).
Běžnou koncertní činnost Gentlemen Singers doplňují i edukací formou výchovných koncertů pro děti a mládež, workshopů a master class určených jednotlivcům i celým sborům, při níž členové souboru zúročují vlastní zkušenosti získané díky spolupráci s předními světovými ansámbly, dirigenty, sbormistry a skladateli.
The Vocal ensemble Gentlemen Singers is a Czech professional male octet, winner of international competitions and a regular participant of major festivals from the USA to South Korea. Besides the fact that since its foundation in 2003, the ensemble has performed nearly a thousand concerts all over the world and has released seven acclaimed CDs, its members also organize the festival “Sborové slavnosti • Czech Choir Festival • Hradec Králové”. The festival takes place every June, and its main goals are to promote current choir scene and through choirs invited to participate to spread Czech choral music abroad, too.
The repertoire range of the Gentlemen Singers is very wide. The ensemble is renowned particularly for their excellent interpretation of classical music of the 20th and 21st centuries: "... the beauty, dynamic control and vocal resonance of the Czech Gentlemen Singers were even better than those of the Kings Singers" (May 9, 2012, Irish Examiner). Moreover, pieces composed or arranged exclusively for the Gentlemen Singers by the members of the ensemble and various composers who closely cooperate with it (Jan Vičar, Jan Jirásek, Petr Wajsar, Stephen Hatfield and many others) are an integral part of the repertoire. And so are also classical works of early music. "When we thought we knew about choral singing everything (or almost everything), these Slavonic voices came and gave us a lesson from another world of the interpretation of sacred music with the flavour of the Gregorian chant." (April 9, 2017, El Diario Vasco).
Regular concert activity of the Gentlemen Singers complements education through performances for children and the young, or workshops and master classes designed both for individuals and for entire choirs. In these activities, the members of the ensemble use their own experience gained when cooperating with renowned world ensembles, conductors, choirs and composers.

Tento milovník pizzy a luxusních automobilů je velmi oblíbený u žen možná i proto, že zpívá jejich hlasem. Jako sopranista se často pohybuje ve výškách, a to i ve volném čase, kdy rád leze po stěnách. Zpěvu se věnuje od malička a kromě Gentlemen Singers, kde působí od roku 2016, ho můžete slyšet i jako sólistu v barokních operách.
This lover of pizza and luxury cars is very popular with the women, perhaps because he is able to sing in their voice. As a soprano, he hits the high notes during concerts, but also enjoys reaching high as a rock climber in his free time. Filip has been singing since he was a child and apart from the Gentlemen Singers, whom he has been singing with since 2016, you can hear him as a soloist in various Baroque Operas.
TOMÁŠ KOČAN

Tento jazykový mág je služebně nejmladším členem souboru, ve kterém působí jako tenor. Vystudovaný zpěvák, který zároveň zpěv vyučuje. Občas bývá zmatený jak lesní včela, ale jinak je zodpovědný. Rád běhá, chodí po horách a leze po stěnách.
This language wizard sings the tenor and is the newest member of the ensemble. He is a graduate singer who also teaches singing. Sometimes he is confused as a bee, but mostly he is responsible. He likes running, walking among the mountains, and climbing on walls.
ONDŘEJ KLEINER

Věnuje se zpěvu již od útlého dětství, svou pěveckou dráhu započal ve svých šesti letech v chlapeckém sboru. V Gentlemen Singers působí od roku 2017 jako baryton. Kromě aktivní umělecké činnosti se hudbě věnuje i jako pedagog převážně v dívčích třídách. U svých studentek je velmi oblíbený, což mu většina ostatních členů souboru závidí. Na fotkách je to většinou ten pátý zleva.
He has been singing since his early childhood and started his official singing career at the age of six in a boys' choir. Since 2017 he has been singing baritone with the Gentlemen Singers. In addition to his artistic activities, he also works as a music teacher. He is very popular among his students, which brings envy from most other members of the ensemble. Spot him in photos, he usually is the fifth from the left.
RICHARD UHLÍŘ
druhý bas - umělecký vedoucí | second bass - artistic leader
Je jedním ze zakládajících členů souboru a od začátku také jeho uměleckým vedoucím. Díky působení v chlapeckém sboru už mu nezbyl dostatek času, aby patnáctileté studium hry na housle zúročil v renomovaných filharmoniích, a tak vystudoval hudební vědu. Z praktických dovedností se věnuje již pouze zpěvu. Miluje své dvě dcery, přítelkyni, jídlo a pití.
He is one of the founding members of the ensemble and, from the beginning, also its artistic leader. Thanks to his full-time job in the choir, there was not enough time for a fifteen-year career as a violin player in a renowned philharmonic, but he has started to study musical science instead. As far as practical skills go, he only has singing. He loves his two daughters, his girlfriend, and delicious food & drinks.
JAROSLAV ŠINDLER

Jarda, Jára či Jaroušek je benjamínkem souboru. Praštěný (kontra)tenorista a klavírista, který se vždy snaží být sám sebou a kus svého já vkládá do všeho, co dělá. Když mu byli čtyři, chtěl být řidičem fekálního vozu. Má rád jazz a maminčinu čočkovku, nemá rád velké „Dé“ a nechápe většinu básní.
Jarda, Jára or Jarousek is the baby of the ensemble. A contra tenor and pianist who always tries to be himself, and who puts a piece of himself in everything he does. When he was four, he wanted to be a driver of a fecal pump truck. He likes jazz and his mummy's lentil soup, he does not like the "D" pitch, and he does not understand most poems.
RADEK MACH

Tento druhý tenor se zpěvu věnuje od svých sedmi let. Mimo hudby se rád opře do tenisové rakety či fotbalového balónu. Mezi jeho další záliby patří příroda, myslivost a jakákoliv tvůrčí (někdy i destruktivní) činnost. Rád se baví (i na účet druhých), jeho humoru však všichni ne vždy porozumí.
This second tenor has been singing since the age of seven. Besides music, he likes to hit some tennis balls or kick a football. His other hobbies include nature, hunting and any creative (or destructive) activity. He likes to have fun (sometimes on the behalf of others), but his humor is not always understood by everyone.
MARTIN STRUNA

Je jedním ze zakládajících členů souboru, ve kterém mu z blíže neurčených důvodů nikdo neřekne jinak, než "Susu". Zpěvu se věnuje již přes 30 let, a krom toho, že mu přinesl spoustu zkušeností a zážitků, se díky němu seznámil i se svojí snoubenkou. Ve volném čase rád ve velkém degustuje pivní speciály a je vášnivým pasivním sportovcem.
He is one of the founding members of the ensemble, known solely by "Susu" for unspecified reasons. He has been singing for over 30 years, and among all the valuable experiences music has brought him, most importantly, it is how he met his fiancé. In his spare time, he likes to taste a lot of beer specials and is a passionate, albeit passive, athlete.
VÁCLAV KOVÁŘ

Je nejstarším a nejhlubším zpěvákem v souboru. V minulosti studoval hru na klavír, housle, violoncello a nakonec i zpěv. Rád ryje, trhá plevel, šlechtí stromy a pozoruje divokou přírodu (hlavně ženy). Kromě toho nemá smysl pro humor.
With the lowest voice, he also is the oldest singer in the ensemble. In the past he studied piano, violin, violoncello, and finally singing. He likes to dig and weed his garden, to breed trees, and to observe the wild nature (especially women). And it should be noted, he doesn’t not have sense of humor.
